Carmel biology teacher wins wildlife art competition

Carmel College biology teacher, Daniel Wilson has been shortlisted in an internationally renowned wildlife art competition run by the UK based conservation charity, David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

This year’s ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition received 1,200 entries from artists across 53 countries.

Amongst the 159 shortlisted entries for the final exhibition are Daniel’s three stunning artwork pieces.

50% of all artwork sales will support the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s work protecting endangered species across Africa and Asia. This includes pangolins – the most trafficked mammal in the world and at the forefront of the press right now due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

You can view all the artists’ work online until Sunday 28 June – https://davidshepherd.org/news/wildlife-artist-of-the-year-2020-online/
