Community Fun

Over 150 people braved the drizzle to take part in a fun packed afternoon held during the Easter holidays at Bishop David Sheppard Primary School, Southport.

The Community fun day was sponsored by One Vision Housing, the local Community Police also supported the event, and the children were able to set off the police siren and explore the police van.

Family activities included lots of art and crafts along with a whole community art project.

Active Soccer was buzzing with children of all ages learning soccer skills and the play council provided some amazing den making activities. There was also a surprise visit by Elsa and Olaf from Frozen, much to the delight of the children!

Sefton CVS attended the event and showed families how to make some delicious fresh fruit tartlets.

Mrs Siobhan Bayliff, assistant headteacher at the school said: “I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers from school for supporting the event during their school holidays and the organisations, families and children that attended… your support made our day!“
