Knowsley school success in league tables

The Primary school league tables have been released and a Knowsley school has made it to number 146 on the list.

In a table showing primary schools with the highest attainment in England in 2014, Halewood CofE Primary School in Knowsley are at number 146, with an average point score of 32. This score is the average points per pupil in English and maths Sats tests.

All the schools on the high attainment tables have 100% of Year 6 children achieve at least a Level 4 in reading, writing and maths.

Other information from the league tables show that overall results are up from last year, with 79% of pupils in England’s schools achieving Level 4 in the ‘three Rs’ nationally – up from 75% last year.
The Department for Education (DfE) said this meant an extra 22,000 pupils had achieved the expected level compared with the previous year.
