West Derby Sixth Form celebrates first class results

Sixth form students and staff at West Derby School are celebrating their best ever A-level results. Top grades were achieved by well over half of the students with 52.6% at A* to B in academic subjects.

A-level vocational courses also delivered outstanding grades with Distinction* reported as the average grade in five subjects.

Headteacher, Sian Graham said: “We have a great track record at West Derby for ensuring that students progress successfully beyond our sixth form into university, apprenticeships and training or careers.

“This year it is an added pleasure to celebrate the incredible achievements of our young men and women who have attained exceptional results.

“There is a strong work ethic in our sixth form that is created by the dedication of our staff and supported by our parents and community.

“My sincere thanks go to all who have made these results possible and we wish our students all the very best for their future.”
