Reflecting on an amazing year with Inspire Learning Teaching School Hub
The 2023/24 academic year was filled with many exciting and transformative experiences for Inspire Learning Teaching School Hub (TSH).
Since its initial designation on 21 February 2021, Inspire Learning TSH has supported thousands of Early Careers Framework (ECF) and National Professional Qualification (NPQ) participants.
Inspire Learning TSH works in partnership with University College London to deliver the Early Career Framework for Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) and the reformed suite of NPQs across Liverpool and Wirral.
At the end of 2023, Inspire Learning TSH announced it would partner with Wirral and Cheshire Maths Hub and North West Maths Hub 3 to deliver the Leading Primary Mathematics National Professional Qualification (NPQLPM) for the Spring 24 cohort.
Soon after, the teaching school hub announced it had appointed 13 new quality assurance assessors to work alongside its Appropriate Body (AB) role.
With Inspire Learning TSH’s Appropriate Body role, the hub supports ECTs across their two-year statutory induction.
Director of Inspire Learning TSH, Jane Kennedy, said: “As the Appropriate Body, we have a robust system in place to ensure schools and their ECTs have access to the best support.”
In September 2023, teaching school hubs nationally were tasked with reapplying for teaching school hub status to the Department for Education.
After a successful application and much-anticipated wait, Inspire Learning TSH was redesignated as the teaching school hub for Liverpool and Wirral in February 2024, this time with a four year tenure.
The news was much welcomed by the team with Inspire Learning TSH’s director, Jane Kennedy, commenting how ‘overjoyed’ she was to be redesignated and excited to continue building on the impact already made by the Inspire team.
Looking towards the new academic year, Jane Kennedy shared her ambitions for the year. She said: “As we head into the 2024/25 academic year, I and the rest of the team are excited to continue developing Inspire.
“Our primary goal has always been to improve education for young people across Liverpool and Wirral. To do this, we must ensure the teachers of today and tomorrow are supported to access the best possible training and development opportunities.”
Jane added: “This year has been one of the most transformative for us here at Inspire. The redesignation was a tense time, but ultimately, we were elated to be redesignated. Collaboration, aspiration, integrity and respect are at the heart of our hub, and we hope to continue building on the impact we have made across the last three years.”
