A summer of Shakespeare – a round-up of family activities from Shakespeare’s Globe

The Shakespeare’s Globe will be live streaming a series of online summer activities and workshops. The workshops are aimed at helping aspiring young actors develop their skills and will also be giving the younger audiences the chance to experience Shakespeare’s world famous stories in a truly unique and magical way.

Summer Schools (8-19 years)

Summer Schools are perfect for aspiring actors and academics; the schools will be offering young people an unparalleled opportunity to develop their skills with Globe professionals. Courses will be taking place online and on-site in August 2021.

Telling Tales (Family Festival)

Telling Tales is back on stage and live with a festival of storytelling for the summer holidays. From 24 July – 22 August these storytelling performances will take you on a sensory, interactive adventure giving younger audiences the chance to get into Shakespeare’s stories in the splendid surroundings of the indoor Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Family Guided Tours of the Globe Theatre

The Globe Theatre guided tours are ideal for those with children aged 7-11 years old. The guided tour will introduce the younger visitors to experience Shakespeare’s London and to the theatrical world he created.
