Much to celebrate at Maricourt on GCSE and BTEC results day

Maricourt Catholic High School in Maghull celebrated some fantastic GCSE and BTEC achievements this year on results day.

After students went in to collect their results, many celebrated 2024’s successes. Year 11 student, Ethan, was delighted with his two grade 9s and a whopping seven grade 8s. Fellow student, Derin, achieved two grade 9s and six grade 8s.

One student, Georgia, was on holiday, but that didn’t matter, as her friend Lois collected hers. Between the two, Georgia and Lois collected two grade 9s, 10 grade 8s, three distinctions, a grade 7 and a grade 6. Both will be heading into sixth form next month.

Year 11 Luke worked very hard, and his efforts paid off as he was awarded with eight grade 8s and a grade 7. There were many more brilliant results throughout the day, and students will be heading to a variety of destinations to continue their studies.
