Students celebrate A-level success at Rainford High!
Students from Rainford High are celebrating a successful A-level results day today.
The class of 2017 have worked extremely hard over the past two years to achieve fantastic results.
Overall, Rainford High achieved a 98% A-level pass rate, with a record 45% securing A* – B and a 100% BTEC pass rate. This makes the percentage of students achieving Level 3 qualification passes at A*-B or Distinction*-Merit 55% the highest in the school’s history.
Many of our students secured places at the universities of their choice.
Among those celebrating their A-level results was Eleanor Foreshaw (A*A*AA), Scott Langley (A*AA), Esther Roughley (AAA) and Tommy Wadsworth (A*A*AAB).
The results reflect the hard work and dedication of the students to achieving their ambition and putting themselves on a successful journey for the rest of their lives.
The support the staff has given the students has been first class and that has allowed the students to achieve life-enhancing results.
Principal Ian Young said: “We are incredibly proud of the young people who have done so well in their A-levels. These results are a testimony to the hard work and commitment of our students, who have been supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff.
“Congratulations to the class of 2017 and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.”
