Alsop teacher runs the extra mile

Alsop High School maths teacher Mr Chris Blackburn has raised £6,351 in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society after completing both the Great North Run and the London Marathon. After 23 months of training and losing over four stone Chris managed to complete the marathon in less than four hours. Mr Blackburn said:
