Building the foundations for success
Rainbow Education Multi-Academy Trust is preparing to host its highly anticipated annual conference this summer. It will invite teachers and practitioners to explore the profound impact of early learning. The event will take place on Friday, 12 June, at the Partnership for Learning Charity in Speke.
This year’s gathering centres on the theme “First Steps, Giant Leaps: How Foundational Knowledge Shapes Futures”. It will highlight how the quality of early educational experiences shapes a child’s long‑term academic and personal development.
Experts share insight and best practice
The conference will feature insights from two highly respected figures in the education system, including Victoria Burnside. Victoria is a former headteacher and current His Majesty’s Senior Inspector. She will bring her expertise in school improvement and dedicated focus on SEND and disadvantaged pupils to the fore.
Joining her is Kelly Butler, an experienced former headteacher and Ofsted Inspector. Kelly is an ILM-accredited Executive Coach. She is widely recognised for her specialisation in Early Years excellence and her work in driving nationwide school improvement. These experienced speakers will help delegates navigate the complexities of modern curriculum delivery while keeping the focus on high-impact foundational teaching.
Practical workshops, collaboration and networking opportunities
Throughout the day, the conference will demonstrate classroom-ready strategies through a series of workshops. The Trust has designed these sessions to cover the essential pillars of early development. This includes the mechanics of early reading and writing, the power of oracy and communication, and the evolving relationship between early mathematics and pedagogical technology. By examining these areas, the Trust aims to equip attendees with the tools necessary to ensure every child has the springboard they need to achieve their full potential.
A range of industry-leading sponsors have supported this event, including Third Space Learning, Century, Tapestry, Showbie, and DoodleLearning. All sponsors share the Trust’s commitment to educational innovation.
The day will run from 9:30am to 15:30pm. The Trust wants to offer a unique opportunity for networking and collaborative professional development within the region’s teaching community.
Tickets for the conference are priced at £75, which includes a full lunch provided on-site.
Teachers and school leaders looking to secure their attendance can find further information and book their places directly through the Trust’s dedicated CPD website: www.rematcpd.org.uk.
