Schools celebrate sporting tournament
Liverpool School Sports Partnership (LSSP) held its very successful Year 11 Boys’ Football Tournament at Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College, Liverpool.
Jason Evans, competition manager and coach support at LSSP, said: “What a tournament this was, seeing the Year 11s battle it out for the honour of best Liverpool school was a sight to behold.
“Right from the first whistle there was an energy and excitement only matched by the ability and skills on show by the players. Each game was very close with scores being overturned as the games ebbed and flowed from end to end. At the end of the last game the winners were announced, a massive congratulations must go to Dixons Fazakerley taking home the medals and trophy, and well done to all the schools who represented their school with honour and grace.”
Mr Swift, head of Year 11 at Dixons Fazakerley Academy, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon of football against some great local teams and rivals. The boys thoroughly deserved their victory after only conceding one goal in six games! A great effort, well done lads!”
