A trip like no other for Archbishop Beck

The start of the autumn term saw a small group of Year 8 students from Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College who were fortunate to spend the day cruising on a canal boat through the glorious Cheshire countryside.

The trip was in recognition of their hard work, progress and application in Year 7.

The students had the opportunity to steer the boat under the guidance of one of the company’s volunteers, who is a retired teacher himself.

The group spent two hours in the fabulous Walton Hall Gardens feeding the animals in the pet zoo and enjoying a picnic lunch before setting off back to Preston Brook and home.

The trip was organised by SENCO teacher, Mrs Allen and her team who support their students with additional needs whilst members of our college community.
