Huge pride in pupils’ success

The overwhelming feeling at The Belvedere Academy was one of huge pride as pupils received their A-level and BTEC results.

Mr N Blair, assistant head of Sixth Form, said: “Throughout the last three years, these young people have faced immense challenge and to achieve these examination results within that context is nothing short of amazing.

“It is obviously hugely impressive to see that over 85% of our Year 13 pupils received grades between A* and C or at Merit and above in BTEC; but what is more important is that all of them have what they need to take their next life stage whether that is to go to university, onto a high-level apprenticeship, into employment or onto an access course.

Principal, Julie Taylor said: “It is wonderful to see so many excited young people about to embark on their next steps – and their steps couldn’t be more exciting with pupils going all over the UK and the world to study and to work.

“Our staff are delighted – they and the pupils have worked so hard, well done to all of them – they deserve today; and thank you to our pupils’ families for all their support.”
