New handwashing range to help hygiene in schools

As schools prepare to reopen their doors and welcome back all pupils in SeptemberJangro, the largest network of independent janitorial and cleaning distributors in the UK and Ireland, is urging all educational establishments to review their handwashing facilities.

With COVID-19 still prevalent, hand hygiene is still important in order to prevent the spread of infection.

Jangro’s innovative Jangronauts range helps children learn the importance of hand hygiene in an engaging and interactive way. Designed especially for kids, the range features four handwashing heroes and informative messaging on a range of washroom dispenser units.

To help promote good hand hygiene behaviour, Jangro offers a free on-loan system1, which includes hand soap, hand drying, and toilet tissue dispensers.

With more hand washes than the average 1200ml liquid soap dispenser, the Jangronauts BK039 TFX touch-free dispenser automatically releases soap when hands are placed below it, increasing hygiene levels whilst reducing wastage and mess in the washroom.

Joanne Gilliard, CEO at Jangro comments, “At Jangro, we have always taken hand hygiene extremely seriously, and believe that healthy hand washing habits should be encouraged from childhood. We created the Jangronauts range to offer a solution that not only provides the equipment and supplies for handwashing practice, but combines these physical appliances with wider engaging and fun learning resources. This way, there is a clear link between classroom learning and practical application.”

The Jangronauts handwashing heroes are also the stars of a variety of educational resources on www.jangronauts.co.uk

The site offers many free downloadable materials including puzzles, stories, posters, handwashing certificates, colouring sheets, games, stickers and more! There is also a free teachers’ pack available to download which offers handwashing ideas to support the National Curriculum for EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
