Now that’s what I call Christmas @ Alsop 2018!

This year Alsop High School students have made a great effort to share a bit of thought for the homeless and families in need.

Following an assembly about homelessness Year 9 students decided to create ‘Blessing Bags’ to be given to homeless people. Over 100 bags containing basic essentials such as a toothbrush, soap and sanitary products were put together by a group of caring students.

Students accompanied by Alsop teacher Ms Tapia-Bowes will distribute the bags.

Ms Tapia-Bowes said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of Alsop students and staff who have brought in the items and put the bags together. It demonstrates that young people do care about people in need”.

Alsop students have also made over 35 hampers for families who may be struggling this Christmas as well as organizing a Christmas party for older residents.
