Winstanley College supports the Educate Awards’ arts category

The Educate Awards is delighted to announce that Winstanley College is the new sponsor of the Outstanding Arts in a School category.

The college has been a proud supporter of the Educate Awards for many years and for 2022, it will sponsor a category which celebrates the varied arts project which take place in schools and colleges around the North West.

Winstanley College recognises the determination, skill and enthusiasm needed to succeed within the highly competitive creative industries, which is why it is proud to sponsor this inspiring award.

From designing outfits for Harry Styles to performing at Glastonbury and working on CBeebies; Winstanley’s own arts students have gone onto some amazing careers.

Just recently, theatre students were selected to perform at The National Theatre with their production of Cable Street, receiving rave reviews.

The college boasts state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated teachers who are passionate about supporting students to reach their potential.

September 2023 will also see the launch of Winstanley’s first T-level in Media, Broadcast and Production, giving students industry experience alongside their college study – an exciting addition to its already packed arts offering.

Principal of Winstanley College, Louise Tipping, commented: “Congratulations to the shortlisted schools; the judges have a very hard decision to make given the amount of talent being showcased!”

Kim O’Brien, founder of the Educate Awards, said: “We are delighted to have Winstanley College sponsoring this year’s Outstanding Arts in a School category.

Speaking about the upcoming Educate Awards, Kim added: “Once again, we’ll have some spectacular entertainment on the night which will shine a spotlight on the arts from around the region.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday 18 November!”
