Back to school for awards sponsors

The Educate Awards 2014 two main sponsors recently took a trip back in time and became pupils again, during a visit to St Sebastian’s Catholic Primary School in Kensington.

Mark Beedles, managing director of Connex Education, and Siobhan Saunders, chair of Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Hub, were thrilled to have the opportunity to sit in on one of Teacher of the Year 2013 Jacqui Davies’ Year 6 class, whilst on a trip to the school.

“It was a wonderful experience,” said Mark. “I was so impressed by the students I spoke to – they were intelligent, friendly and great fun to be classmates with, however briefly!”

Siobhan said: “I had a marvellous time being taught by Jacqui. Getting to speak with an Educate Awards 2013 winner made me all the more excited to be a part of the awards this year. “
