Deyes High take on the 10-day 5k Challenge in style!

The staff body of Deyes High School (which includes many departments which combine as one!) have risen to the challenge of completing the Macmillan ’10 Day 5K’ Challenge.

Deyes High want to do their bit to raise money for all the great work that Macmillan do. The charity is close to all at the school and their mission touches them all in different ways.

Starting on February 1 – the team will be running the 10-day 5K Challenge and hoping to smash the 50km target between them. They have already raised over £700 in sponsorship for the charity and are hoping to smash their target of £1000 in total.

This is the first event of this kind this year, but Macmillan will be hosting further events later in the year and the staff team hope to support and encourage their students to take part next time and see if they can better the staff team in miles and money! Some of the team even designed a route that spells out the name of the school on a map!
