After five years in ‘unit 6’ in Belle Vale Shopping Centre, Gateacre School’s BIG Little Library (BLL) have been given the incredible opportunity to move to bigger premises in the centre.
Lisa Mitchell, community co-ordinator at Gateacre School, said: “This is now the fourth time the BLL has moved within the centre, and each time it brings with it a new sense of excitement, as we will always meet new customers that have never heard of us before, who go on to spread the word.
“It’s also lovely when we move to see what new spaces we can create, and with the size of our new unit we are able to create a new children’s area, as well as a dedicated travel and health section.
“We have already noticed that within a week of opening the new shop our customers spend even more time with us to sit and chat, but with the added space it brings with it a chance to sit and read as well, which is lovely to see!
“We can’t wait to start our reading groups again as well as work with our local primary schools to welcome them to our new shop.”
