Liverpool store asks for toys and games donations for children this winter

A Liverpool store is appealing for children’s toys, games and book donations to help support a ‘Christmas Community Campaign’ to spread warmth this winter.

Merseyside residents and businesses can donate items at the Metro Bank store, which Alder Hey Children’s Charity needs.

These items include (for children of all ages):

Alder Hey Children’s Charity said they especially need arts and crafts materials as these are a great way to get children to socialise.

They also said they struggle with donations for babies and older children over 13 years old, so they have made a special appeal for these age groups.

Liverpool Metro local director, Gary Owens, said: “As a community bank we want to really help make Christmas extra special for the children and families being supported by Alder Hey.

“We would encourage everyone to give just a little extra this Christmas and I want to thank everyone in advance for their generous support.”

Metro Bank’s Liverpool store can be found at 15 Paradise Street, L1 3EU. The store is open 7 days a week, Monday – Saturday: 8.30am – 6pm and Sunday: 11am to 5pm.
