Prom Kings and Queens get red carpet treatment

Glitz and glamour were all the rage as Caldies’ kids put on their best bib and tucker at the traditional end-of-year Prom.

Around 200 pupils joined staff at the Liner Hotel to celebrate the double milestone of finishing their GCSE exams and the official ending of compulsory education.

We joined the partygoers as they gathered at the school in Mossley Hill before being driven to the venue in Lime Street where they let their hair down and danced the night away.

Tom O’Brien, Head of year 11, said: ” All of our pupils looked amazing and represented the school tremendously. They have worked so hard over the last two years and even more so in recent months.

“They have demonstrated maturity throughout and can now look forward to a long break away from the books.”

“Both staff and pupils enjoyed a great evening and we wish them the best of luck wherever they decide to go next. We are extremely proud of them all.”
