Bubbles’ World of Play offers Golden Tickets for school fairs

Wirral-based children’s entertainment centre Bubbles’ World of Play, home to the largest and most innovative indoor play frames in the UK, has announced that it is once again offering raffle prizes for local school summer fairs.

The £2.5 million indoor play-area is inviting parents and PTA members to nominate their child’s school to receive a ‘Family Ticket’, which includes admission for two adults and two children under 12 to the centre, to be used in a raffle at their Summer fairs.

Bubbles’ World of Play has been running the scheme every spring and autumn, in order for parents to nominate schools in time for the Christmas and Summer fairs. It is open to nursery, infant and primary schools and there are no geographical limits, or limits on the amount of schools that can apply. Every school that applies will receive a Family Ticket to offer as a prize in a raffle or tombola at their fair.

Peter Collard, general manager at Bubbles’ World of Play says: “We started offering Raffle prizes to school fairs the Christmas before we opened in order to raise awareness about Bubbles’. We took a leaf out of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and the golden tickets idea. It ended up being such a success that we have done it for each Christmas and Summer fair since.

“We know it can be difficult for school PTAs to scrabble around for prizes and quite often they turn to local businesses to help out with this sort of thing. We just want to make it easier for them by letting them know that we are always willing to help out at Bubbles’.”

If any parent or teacher wants to apply on behalf of their nursery, infant school, or primary school, then they just need to visit the Bubbles’ World of Play Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BubblesWorldofPlay and follow the link to the database, where they will be able to sign up with details about the school, the address and the date of the Summer fair. When it gets closer to the time, the team at Bubbles’ will send the tickets out to the schools, ready to be won as a prize.

Peter adds: “We always get a good response from schools, sending thank you cards and telling us how much money they raised at their fairs, which we enjoy seeing.

“Last year, we sent out family tickets to over 400 schools, from schools in Wirral, to schools in Greater Manchester, and even one school in Oxford! There is no limit to how many schools can apply, we say the more, the merrier, as we appreciate how hard it is for PTAs to raise much needed funds to support their schools.”
