King David High School Leadership Programme

Students from King David High School, Liverpool, were engaged in teambuilding and leadership activities as part of the ‘Finding My Potential Leadership Programme’ delivered Liverpool School Sports Partnership (LSSP).

The programme found ways for students to explore and enhance their own mental and physical health, socialising opportunities whilst having fun. It is hoped that the programme will lead to students becoming confident and experienced sports leaders and developing skills including communication, resilience, critical thinking, problem solving, independent thinking, listening, self control, confidence, social action and adaptability, which they can use to support the nurture clubs and activities within their own school as role models for younger students.

A King David High School teacher said of the leadership programme: “This is an excellent programme for our young people. They enjoy the sessions and have the opportunity to develop their communication, teamwork and leaderships skills.”

Whilst one student said: “I have enjoyed the sessions so far. I feel like I am becoming more confident and I am improving my communication and leaderships skills.”
