Trust moves to fantastic new training centre

AMP SCITT, the teacher training arm of Lydiate Learning Trust are to move to a new training centre in Liverpool.
The trust have secured new premises at Vortex House in Wavertree that will house its extensive range of teacher training services.
This currently includes Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Early Career Framework support and National Professional Qualifications (MPQ’s), but their activities and programmes are particularly pertinent at this time of great change, supporting teachers as they return to school and re-adapt to classroom and even blended learning approaches.
Equally, its ITT practices are encouraging the recruitment of new and emerging talent into education to build upon the lessons learnt from the lockdown experience, seeking to maintain the excellent new practice, which has emerged such as the creative use of technology.
The new premises will enable trainees to attend programmes of study in the newly re-furbished training centre providing three classrooms plus conference facilities.
Head of AMP SCITT, Alison Brady said: “Every child deserves the very best teachers to inspire and guide them and that is why teacher education is so important. Working closely with a newly established teaching school hub we are delighted to expand our services to more schools.
“The move to our new training centre at Vortex House which has large conferencing spaces, small meeting rooms and model classrooms will provide a great environment to learn for both new and experienced teachers.
“As well as engaging new teachers into the profession on our primary and secondary programmes, we will ensure teachers are empowered to develop their careers with a range of CPD programmes including the new Early Career Framework and the soon to be launched new NPQs.
“Associated Merseyside Partnership SCITT and Lydiate Learning Trust are delighted this move to the new training centre will enable us to collaborate with more partners, helping raise the quality of education in our local schools and benefit our local children.”
